Sanjay P. Reddi, B.D.S., M.D.

Oral Surgeon Odessa & Midland TX Dr. ReddiDr. Reddi earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from University of Mysore, India, and graduated first in his class. He was accepted into Implantology and Hospital Dentistry training program at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he gained experience in comprehensive general dentistry and making crowns and dentures for dental implant patients.

He was then accepted into the residency training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the same institution. During his final year of training he served as Chief Resident and gained extensive experience in all aspects of Oral Surgery, with emphasis on general anesthesia, facial trauma, jaw tumor and reconstructive surgery with bone grafts and implants. He was awarded the “Professors Cup” by the faculty of his training program for exemplary performance during his final year of training.

Dr. Reddi also earned the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and served as a resident in Anesthesiology for one year where he gained experience in providing general anesthesia to adults and children. In addition he served a Fellowship in Maxillofacial tumor and reconstructive surgery, also at the same institution where he gained advanced training in mouth, face and jaw tumor and reconstructive surgeries with bone grafting and tissue flaps.

After completing 9 years of training at the University of Miami Hospital system he was recruited to join the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where he served as Assistant Professor of Surgery from 2002 to 2006. In addition to maintaining a full scope practice, he was responsible for educating and training resident surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt and Veterans Administration Hospitals. Dr. Reddi has extensively published papers in major scientific journals on various aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was invited to lecture and conduct surgical workshops on bone grafting, dental implants and tumor surgery. Dr. Reddi is currently on staff at Odessa Regional Hospital in Odessa and Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.

In the summer of 2006, Dr. Reddi joined Permian Basin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to spend more time with his wife and 2 daughters Maya and Risha.
