Dental implant placement usualy involves two surgical procedures for most patients. First, implants are placed in your jawbone after the area has healed from the tooth extraction. For the first three to six months following surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jawbone. Learn more about the dental implant process.
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt within the mouth. When they align properly and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth do not have to be removed. Unfortunately, this does not generally happen. At Permian Basin Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery we are experts in wisdom tooth removal. Click here to learn more about wisdom tooth removal.
